Thinking of making my own capacitor

 The air variable capacitor I purchased via ebay seems like a good device but it came with no screws which would help attach the device to the case.


I may just take a aluminum turkey pan and cut it up to make a capacitor.  It might be easier to make one than trying to attach the capacitor I bought.

Dang thing does not work. Can only blame myself

 Well, I got it all put together and wired  up. So I connected it to my ts-520s to see how it goes. I did something wrong because it simply does not work. I need to carefully review the wiring to see if that could be the issue.  So far I am disappointed in the result but it sure seems like it should work.

I am accepting my antenna tuner construction project as a failure

 So I bought a MFJ-934 antenna tuner.  I am trying to figure out how to connect it up. Seems to be rather complicated. I ordered one from a company in Texas. At first they seemed to be giving me the run around. Then I checked the reviews. The company was not MFJ, it was some kind of two bit retailer. Anyhow, they finally shipped it. Anyhow I got it.  Now to figure out how to run it.
